11:00 Monday Night

Mondays aren’t that bad for me. Maybe it’s because I’m really coming into my own with the Sunday afternoon/evening play out. What with Barnacle’s, Football and the warm weather. I’ve been working the 9 80 too and I love it. 9 days, 80 hours. What’s better than that? My schedule hasn’t changed a bit and I get every other Friday off!

I don’t like Tuesdays though. At this time of the year, it’s all about Fridays with a hint of Mondays. That’s right….I said it: Mondays. Mondays aren’t that bad at this time of year. Mondays are tolerable at this time of year because if you play your cards right, you may just end up getting a Monday off. Long weekend style. Tuesday is a pain in the ass, always has been. Tuesday has no real significance other than it got you out of Monday and it’s before Wednesday. Tuesday…I mean, come on…what’s Tuesday? Tuesday is just a day you have to get through. So, there you are; after your weekend, you trudge to work; get through the Mondays; try to stretch that weekend vibe out; have a few beers; watch some Monday Night Football…then bang! Tuesday hits you like a rouge wave. If Tuesday was a person, it would be a grumpy, old, smelly man that speaks Turkish and is sitting in your seat on the fourteen and a half hour train ride from Paris to the South of France. Coughing the whole time; with his stinky Tuesday breath. Jerk.

Wednesday? I dunno. Over the hump and all that, I guess. Mid week…sure…it’s a great to summit; sort of hits you mid afternoon. To that end, Wednesday morning is pretty horrific. Let’s face it…you’re only a few hours out of stink station Tuesday and Friday afternoon seems farther away than it did on Monday. But things are looking up and by the afternoon, you are officially authorized to ask another person what they have planned for this coming weekend. Thursday is a day’s day. Especially if you’re on 9 80. It’s your Friday in sheep’s clothing. (I don’t know what that means).

And speaking of sheep…I better get to counting mine; it’s almost Tuesday.
